Calling all who take, or want to take violin lessons and cello lessons! Get the instruction you need and join an amateur chamber music orchestra at the Seattle School of Strings, and learn to play music with a group!

Seattle is blessed to have a vibrant community of adult amateur musicians, many of them beginning musicians. If you live in the Seattle area and are taking cello lessons, or violin lessons, you’ll become an even better musician if you learn to make music with others. The Seattle School of Strings, located in the Phinney Ridge Neighborhood, offers a chamber music orchestra appropriate for your level whether you are a child or adult, a beginner or an intermediate musician. Each orchestra meets once a week for thirteen week sessions. We prepare chamber music to perform in a concert at the end. We also get together periodically throughout the session just to socialize, to form friendly bonds between musicians.

Director Todd Kovell also offers private cello lessons to children and adults at The Seattle School of Strings, and can refer great teachers to those seeking individual violin lessons to help them perform their best in our orchestras. Beginners and intermediate students welcome!
